When Do You Need New Tyres?
- Tread depth below 1.6mm — the legal minimum and an MOT failure
- Uneven wear — may indicate wheel alignment or suspension issues
- Sidewall bulges, cuts or cracks — these tyres should not be on the road
- Age — tyres over 5–6 years can deteriorate even with good tread depth
- Persistent slow puncture that cannot be safely repaired
